Hatstand Circus is based near Canary Wharf in Docklands, East London.

The company is directed by Helena Hatstand whose background is detailed below. We have a team of ten 'heads of department' in place who act as consultants in their own specialist field. This ensures the client recieves the best possible result for their specific event/promotion.

Helena Hatstand

Helena Hatstand is a multi-skilled, experienced performer who has developed a wide range of acts for different circumstances.

Her main skills are stilt dancing, fire eating, juggling, whip cracking and object manipulation.

Helena works on her own and has developed double, triple and group acts. She has a wide range of costumes and equipment and can provide a whole evening of entertainment of different acts. Please ring for a list of acts or a showreel.

Helena Hatstand has over seven years experience of performing in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Helena has performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people over the last seven years - millions if you include TV work in the UK, India and Asia.

Helena trained on the job with Swamp Circus Theatre - one of the leading contemporary alternative circuses in the UK - on an 'unofficial' apprenticeship style scheme for four years and thus learned her craft in front of audiences and on the job.

All the acts now offered have organically evolved from performing at all sorts of different events in front of all sorts of different audiences and are therefore tried and tested.

She also trained at La Carampa Circus School in Madrid, Circus Maniacs, Bristol, Circus Space and at various juggling conventions in UK and Europe.

Helena speaks Spanish, French and Italian and is currently learning Portuguese, Arabic and Croatian.

Helena Hatstand is a qualified face painter and has recently completed an intensive Face Painting course at Charles Fox of London, trained by B from the London School of Facepainting.
